I am perplexed at how many people think this he is real. This is a joke from Mojang that has been in previous updates. It honestly makes me angry how many people still believe in him.

Originally herobrine was a creepy pasta (a made up scary story) that floated around on the internet at the beginning it gain in popularity immensely fast. Because of this people questioned mojang about it constantly alerting them to the story. The perpetuate the story by putting "removed herobrine" into every update and have done so since the beginning of beta. The minecraft devs have a good sense of humor plus the original herobrine story is actually not a bad short read.

My friends have problems with hackers dressing up like herobrine (they had their tags hacked like in the herobrine myths) and doing herobine stuff. Scaring, killing players ect.

- Removed Herobrine was a joke! Originally to cover for them removing more of Human's Codes.
- Removed Herobrine now, Is just a silly joke that Mojang thinks is funny enough to be in every log.

It's just a joke. In classic minecraft you could make clones of yourself. They removed the feature but kept the code. In a later update they removed the code but as a joke, Notch/Jeb put "removed Herobrine"

Just a joke. There never was any Herobrine. They just "remove" him every update to scare new players/kids.

Quick info herobrine is a coding error Each update they actually remove herobrine because it is a mob override that is why it says it they actually remove it it is a virus that bugs the code i think they put him in it but he is called a Evolving virus it reads code and then modify's itself to pass security that is why there are always small updates in the bug updates.

Herobrine is FAKE. If you don't believe me go to Minecraft Wiki and search Herobrine. And read. Notch said that he is FAKE.

Well, reasons for Herobrine is fake:
You can just spawn a player with a file or something, and some people use this as an advantage by customizing it into a herobrine.
Photoshopping/editting
Doors/paintings can be customized into having herobrine's pic on them using a texturepack.
By what Notch means when it says Removed Herobrine is not really meant to be removing Herobrine, the player who haunts you, but somewhat a bug, or something.
Even Notch himself said this:

Herobrine has a texture in Minecraft.jar, a file, and has a programmed behavior

Herobrine stories are invented, they have no proof of existence
The first original Herobrine poster was a retextured door or painting
Ghost Herobrine removed was Notch's joke, thanks to the community's imagination
A player with Herobrine's skin can be faked, since all MC players can be seen with a nametag, but in some perspective in the game, like the player being behind a wall, the nametag isn't visible
The nametag can be removed with photoshopping/editting by taking two pics-one with "Herobrine" in it, and other other without him, and cutting "herobrine" out of that pic and into the pic without him, removing the nametag of that roleplaying herobrine player

They should add him but not tell anyone. This would cause the first people to play it without checking what's been added on the wiki absolutely freak out.

You haven't seen him as he is FAKE. Removed herobrine is just a joke by Mojang. He is not in the code and it is impossible to hide it in the code. If you believe he exists you are being immature and there is no evidence of his existence, except photoshopped images and retextured doors.
