Sweltering Heat
I just got back from shoving my head into a freezer for a few minutes. The time in that dark, cold, wonderland full of frozen vegetables and various meats made me miss it when it was winter/spring. Now that it's becoming summer, the temperature is rising, and it's absolutely dreadful...
Where I live right now, it's about 83 °F (28 °C for all you non-Americans), and my room feels like an oven. I'm sure a lot of other people have it bad, but I really am not one for hot weather. Imagine a husky living in the desert, and that's pretty much me.
What's it like for everyone else right now? Better, worse, some strange place in between?

The good thing is, after maybe a week like this you'll get a mega darude - rainstorm. I was in Germany and for a week, it rose from 20 degrees to 40! The last day, we got hailstones the size of golfballs, some as large as a fist.
Oh... You don't know how hot it is in the Philippines in the morning, or a time thats not night. The temperature can go up to 40 degrees celsius. You are lucky that you have 28 degree celsius weather.. A lot worse
I would die.
It was just freezing cold yesterday, I'd say around 60 degrees? I almost wore a jacket, xP
60 degrees is like t-shirt weather, though... I really think I'm like a husky sometimes.

It's slightly cooler where I am. 80°F or 27°C where I am atm. But, there's a breeze, so it's slightly cooler.
But would you rather have it be 80°F with no snow or -2°F with 100 feet of snow?
The temps here in Rhode Island rarely go below 0 Fahrenheit during winter and occasionally hit 100+ during late summer. Sometimes we get rain to cool stuff off, and the occasional tropical storm/hurricane.
On the other hand, I left my window open all day for the past several days.
I would kill for a breeze right now. There's been no wind, just heat.
hahahaha 83 degrees.... sounds nice....
What's the temperature for you right now?
around that but its nice
My God.
That's a lot of replying to do...

It's about the same here. It got to around 90F today, but it's night now and has cooled down to around 74.
After living in the southeast, you get used to the freezer. It's a nice place. Hang up some posters next to the frozen pizzas you've had since last summer and it's home sweet home.

Just grab a seat, and scoot up by the ice. Sounds pretty cozy.
I don't care if it's 80°F outside and we're playing outdoor soccer in gym, I'm wearing my creeper hoodie.
The heat will kill you unless you build up an immunity to it.

I probably would have an immunity to it if I lived in warm places most my life. Sadly, it's quite the opposite.

At least we don't eat raw, rotten fish (although everything here is sugary). #America
It's 35 celsius degrees here at 10PM, so you're fine.
Just because it's worse for you doesn't mean I'm fine ;'(
That's why I have a fan in my window that is constantly on during the summer, or I go and swim in my pool.
Funny enough, I made this post and immediately left to go buy a fan. I have an AC, but it turns off the electricity in my room and part of the living room every time I try to turn it on...
Once I go to Lebanon on May 27th, it's going to suck. The weather there is very humid and the electricity is off half of the time.. everyone just spends their time indoors without sweating or else it will be way too hot.
Oh, dear... I'll have to ship down a bag of ice to you.
Same tempature, I consider 70 perfect.
Agreed. It's warm enough to wear a t-shirt, but not hot enough to sweat through said t-shirt.
Mid-Winter it gets down to -25 Fahrenheit (-30/-35 with windchill). Earlier today it got up to 98. If you're looking for insane temperature changes, Connecticut is the place for you.
Connecticut sounds bipolar... Definitely not looking to live in a place like that.

All those people who say they live with hot weather like 100 F. My winters go as low as -5 F and as high as 35 F. You're lucky.
My springs/falls/winters usually go anywhere from -15 ºF to around 40 ºF. Summer is the only time that it's actually hot.
Mine go to -40+ per year baby -.-
My comfort zone is about 15 to 17 degrees. It's tough to find a place that has that.
Personally, my favorite temperature is 30 degrees fahrenheit (-1 degrees celsius). That's pretty easy to find, in every season except for summer.

I'm moving to Scotland.
Inhere the weather is messing with us all, 2 days ago we had a very sunny thunderstorm. From one moment on another the weather changes here drastically.
That's pretty much how it was for me.
"Oh, what nice weather this is! Let me just go for a nice- OH, DEAR LORD! MY SKIN, MY SKIN IS MELTING OFF!"

I'm in Queensland (Australia) - Summer is usually high 30s to low/mid 40s. Which in fahrenheit, is 100-110.
I feel sorry for complaining because of the stories I've heard from everyone here with these crazy temperatures... I feel like if I was in that weather, I would die, or at least pass out.
I also live in Queensland, Australia.
Not only are the tempertures hot, but the weather is brutal. One minute, clear blue skies. Next minute, torrential rain.

28°C is normal here in Australia. Fortunately, the Southern Hemisphere has seasons in the opposite so it's winter right now. Summer here is murder.
I heard Australians were tough, but darn...
I have a similar problem. Our downstairs stays pretty cool since we don't ever run many electronics down there. My room has my PC, our printer, and Xbox plus it's upstairs in the summer, so it gets hot. My solution is now to freeze a damp washcloth for quick relief and freeze a tube sock full of rice for when I want to go to bed and cool my pillow.
Why not just turn on the AC?
Because that's expensive to do every day.
How much power do AC units consume? I know electricity is cheap, but running AC is usually an expensive thing to do.
I don't know, but I do know that regular AC use in the summer hikes our electricity bill a good $50 a month. Would rather freeze a washcloth using an appliance we're already running than pay a ton extra to run the AC constantly.
*stands in front of fan* Sorry I didn't hear what the discussion was about over the sound of the fan
In other words, idc about the tempature all I care is that I MISS WINTER

For a while, I was waiting for spring to happen. I got tired of the cold after a while, but now all I want is it's chilly touch ;'(
