I really need to start reading actual literature again.

I enjoyed reading A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones, etc.) The novels of Dan Brown are also of particular note to me, though my favourite book series of all time has to be Harry Potter. I was an absolute addict a couple of years ago, props to anyone who spots the reference in my Minecraft username.

As for a singular book, I'm not actually sure. I'll just go with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the first book I pre-ordered aged 9, and one that I quickly read over the course of about four days. Time well spent by any standard.

I love Wendy Mass's Willow Falls series. They're really good coming-of-age stories.
I also enjoy The Outsiders, The Westing Game, Wonder, and tons like those.

I adored the Mortal Engines Quartet by Philip Reeve, and it's the only series of books I've read through twice. Then there's "Blindness" by Jose Saramago which is beautifully written. And then more recently I read the Star Wars: Republic Commando novels by Karen Traviss, which I loved.

I would heartily recommend every single one of them to anyone reading this

Books are for chumps.

But in all seriousness my favorite book would be Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell as weird as it may seem.

I don't read as much as I should now but I enjoyed the "Mortal Engines" series. Muddle Earth was also a good read but my all time favourite book is probably Kensuke's Kingdom, even though it's technically a children's book. I didn't really understand it first time I read it but I re-read it again when I was older and it made my cry more tears than it had any right to. So there we go.

I've read it too, and I actually kind of enjoyed it. If you just overexaggerate everything in your head, and use the glossary in the back of the book (well, mine had one), it can be an extremely informative read.

I like the background it set for LotR and the Hobbit. I especially enjoyed The Creation stories, Turin Turambar, and Beren and Luthien.

I've recently started reading interworld, great concept and overall idea, it's context and overall writing could've been a bit better - but I love letting my imagination take over and pilot the flight so it's a great book. Also reading Fahrenheit 451 which is... Intersting

Nah, just kidding.

I don't really read much if it's for fun, but I am reading a book for English class. Called Every Day, fairly interesting concept it brings up. You could probably just search it in Google if you're that interested.
