I'm 2018 grad. I loved band in grade 6 and 7, I played the trumpet. I could play pretty high, so I performed The Last Post (flawlessly) at the start of grade 7; had a natural talent. Also did a James Bond tuba + saxophone trio in grade 8. Didn't like band much in high school, so I stopped playing after grade 9.
I really enjoyed socials 9, had a good teacher, and was an interesting year; unlike the following year which I mostly skipped (Canadian history is boring, fur trade + CPR for 99% of the year. Also, we burned down the white house and clubbed baby seals for their nice fur).
I liked English 9, 10 and 12 (9 and 12 same teacher), due to the excellent teachers. Come to think of it, I need to visit them very soon.
Philosophy 12 was a great course, so much thought-provoking, moralistic/societal discussion, and arguing/debating.
Art was okay, I was decent, I just didn't have inspiration often, nor ideas.
Now, my absolute favourite was weight training; not exactly a class I suppose, but it felt useful and was fun. Got my bench to 210lbs in grade 12. At the start, I liked getting stronger and looking better. Now, and more importantly, I like it for mental and physical health. It teaches yourself discipline, and that if you set your mind to something, you can achieve it.
This kind of turned into a ramble, but thanks to those who read it.
