Black/White, no question. Best storyline, best characters, the only generation to not rely on Kanto for nostalgia n such, just a beautiful environment with ecosystems that make sense and create a perfect gameplay experience. Emerald is a close second but the story and characters are nowhere near as fleshed out, dynamic, and amazing.
I could go on for a lot longer about this but idk why I'm here rn tbh

My favorite games are US/UM.
Platinum !
btw I think this may be better done by generation...
X/Y are my favorites because their story was great and it introduced a lot of new stuff, including the Fairy type. There were some great new Pokémon and some even got a new spin with Mega Evolution. The remakes of Ruby and Sapphire (Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire) were great also.
Pokemon Emerald is what I'd say the best game is, but that might just be because it was the first pokemon game I remember playing. Gen 2, 4, 6 and 7 were pretty good too, though, even though Gen 2 and 3 are a little old and rather outdated now.
Also, dragon type is best type, prove me wrong.

Fairies.
Fire is my favorite type btw.

Fairies...exist, I suppose. But so do poison-dragon types, and that's a great combination.
Honestly, I've never really been a fan of fairies, but that's only because they live to kill all my dragons.

Steel/Dragon is better. You get a resistance to Fairy and Ice. As of right now, the only released Pokémon with this typing is Dialga. Duraladon will be the next one.
You're not wrong there, but poison kills the fairies and poison/dragon types are more plentiful (for now) and are easier to find. Also, I like their designs a little more, not that it really matters.

Why not put Red and Blue and Yellow together? And why have X/Y and XY?
Heart Gold and Soul Silver were the best games.

Although I've been watching Pokemon for years, I know nearly nothing about the games, although I have I think five of them.
tbh i dont know
The Mystery Dungeon spin-off series was my jam as a kid! Main-series wise, I grew up with Gen 4 (despite knowing how popular Pokemon was in the 90s), but my favorite is Gen 7's Sun and Moon because never before has the series got me so intrigued in it's story, and it felt like a breath of fresh air overall, especially when they replaced gyms with trials. For me, I've always despised gyms since they felt super tedious and repetitive, but with trials, anything goes. You could be protecting a cave from a buffed-up Gumshoos, picking out what could be wrong with a picture (Remember the photobombing hiker meme that was popular for a little while? Yeah, he's from that minigame), saving a village from Team Skull, finding a Mimikyu in an abandoned mini-mart, and so much more! It really did peek my curiousity for once to find out what the next trial could be, and it felt so satisfying to get all the Z-Crystals, which are technically badges, but they actually mean something rather than just allowing Pokemon of a certain level to obey you.
