Can't Connect To server but others can

Go ahead, try to join mc.thenova.net, you probably can, right? Well that is my favorite server, and I can not join it. When I go to Multiplayer all the server list says when I look at thenova is (no picture) "Pinging..." "can't connect to server" But I see all my other friends like "PRTinney is Online on NovaBuild" "SawyerKIDRED is online on NovaPrison" I made a thread like this on their forums, but none of the suggestions helped. so I brought my problem to the 'smart' guys. (note: my command prompt "install updates" doesnt work, its in windows 8) If you help me and I get back onto thenova I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER <3

The server version is 1.7 - 1.8.4
I usually use 1.7.10 - 1.8.4
My minecraft is working perfectly fine...except thenova thingy

What the heck.. is the server using a 1.8 emulator? If not you need to use 1.8 you cant use 1.7

If it still dosent work. try ro restard you router, and reboot ur computer.

daTNTkid, there can be many reasons for this issue to occur. Ill just try to narrow this down as fast as possible. Have you installed any applications recently/updated java? Did you recently start using a new router? Are you sure Javaw.exe is not blocked by your firewall?
Again, these are the bare bones questions i would need to assist you.

Wow Johnanater. I just wanna go back onto thenova, as I said to join it as a TEST, because I cant join, I just want help ok? you're not a big help for the 1st reply :/
