Hello, I'm new to posting here.. Hopefully this is in the right spot. I'm curious if anyone here knows how to add custom music to MineCraft server. I want players to beable to click a button and it starts playing the music I choose on shuffle untill they click stop.
I also want it to be the full length song.

Thanks everyone for the help! I created a resource pack and replaced the disk files with my own and that seems to work perfect!

Skitto493 I'm running spigot 1.8.8. Can I still do resource packs and command blocks?

you can use a couple command blocks and the exact sound files you wanted to use for the specific area or place that people enter or walk towards.

Commands/command blocks in Minecraft 1.9 are able to play music (you would need a custom resource pack to play music other than default Minecraft music, however.)

It's say "Vi Possible" With a resource pack. Because a resource back has the power to change a music disc's played music its "possible" but not 100%
iv only seen about 5 texture packs that actually chance the music. but that also requires a subsided mod called Music loader. (I think thats the name)

OK What about with a resource pack? I have someone that keeps saying creat a resource pack and do it that way??

This currently is not do able with Bukkit/Spigot API.
You would need a custom API such as Cauldron(Which is for mods) for this to happen.
Because Spigot/Bukkit does not support custom sound variables nor can someone make a plug that will play any Link/Music in game
