DOWNLOAD RUINED MINECRAFT! HELP NEEDED!

Yesterday I just downloaded the MCPatcher ( I think it's called that way ) that makes HD texture packs available. It downloaded, I clicked a big button that said:"PATCH" and nothing visible happened. Next thing I tried to do was to run Minecraft: I clicked on the icon, logged in, and... the Minecraft window screen went black.
Usually, what happens is the mojang logo shows then the game start menu appears. Now, all I see is a black screen. I deleted the files in "Downloads", and deleted one file in the Minecraft file (".Minecraft/Application Data") that was called "MCPatcher", but nothing helped.

Try deleting the bin file and re open minecraft or re download it and it will download all of the jar files again as a new minecraft game! your saves will still be there though!
