have a new problem. there literally is no resource pack folder in .minecraft, is there a way to download it? perhaps make my own folder for it? any tips are appreciated. thanks
um okay weird. just fired it up and it works.... pretty inconsistent.
so what do u suggest? just did a diagnostics test at dell.com for "video" and it found nothing wrong
I would try to update your GPU driver. If that doesn't fix it could be the iGPU it self and you cant fix that.
just looked at .minecraft and it appears the "resources" file is gone. perhaps an installment issue
Maybe it's because of that.
intel (R) core TM i5 cpu m540 @ 2.53GHz (4 cpus) 2.53GHz
That is your problem. Your processor is pretty bad and outdated. So is your iGPU (the laptop apparently doesn't have a discrete GPU).
Processor is fine. It's actually better than mine....
An i5-480M with an iGPU can play 1.8.
I have a i5 core and I manually downloaded the graphics driver so it might not be compatible?
nope. nothing.
Weird. On the "System" tab, what does it say next to "Processor" ?
it appears everything is working properly. intel (r) HD graphics is what im using. brand new laptop so might not have a specific driver needed. not sure
Intel (R) HD Graphics? No numbers like 2000,2500,3000,4000 or 4600 behind it?
how do I look up my GPU
Start > Search programs and files > dxdiag > Enter > If a dialog box pops up, press yes > Display > Name
Looks like a problem with your drivers. Seach for your GPUs name (apparently Intel GPU) and download the newest version of its drivers. May I ask, what card do you have?
It is something wrong with ur GPU or drivers
