IPv4 Changes help!
I turned on my computer from a vacation and my IPv4 was changed. I went into my router settings and I changed it to the IPv4 given to me from the cmd>ipconfig thing. But whenever I try to start up my server, I can't connect to ip. I go back, and the IPv4 is changed again! I have done thing about 4 times now. Any help is welcomed, thank you!

Basically:
- I go into my router settings. (192.168.2.1)
- I input my IPv4 into the proper section.
- I click 'Apply Changes', it does so.
- I start up my server and try to join on the PUBLIC IP.
- I cannot join it except on my localhost.
- I find out, the IPv4 keeps changing every time I click 'Apply Changes' so i put in the NEW IPv4 and do the whole process again. It fails yet again. Im not sure why.
- My Minecraft is closed. My server is closed. I even close the folder the run.bat is in. But, no luck.

After setting the ipv4 in the router configuration, double-check your ipv4, is it different?
The reason I say this is because some routers do not support connecting to your own external address.

I'm not sure that I understand what you are trying to say. :/

Do keep in mind, that if you are connecting to a computer on another network, the server has been port forwarded.

I realize that. I have had this as a public server before. It is just now starting to do this. The IPv4 that I put into port forward keeps changing. Thus others, including me, cannot connect to my server. Except for localhost,

If you are playing on the same computer that is hosting the server, connect with 'localhost'. If you are connecting to a computer on your network, go on the computer you are trying to connect to and do the ipconfig. If you are connecting to a computer on another network, go onto the server, go onto the browser, and search what is my ip on google.
