Is there a way to shift the height limit up 64 blocks in 1.18?
Its always made no sense to me to have any blocks exist below 0.y=0 is sup[posed to be the bottom of the world. I was wondering if there was a method that shifts worlds up by 64 blocks, meaning the minimum y value is 0, maximum y value is 384, AND most importantly, sea level is at y=127 (so worlds spawn in the same ranges as a vanilla world, just offset by 64 blocks)? I heard its possible with data packs, but I could never get the sea level to move. Its always at y=63. This method also needs to be doable on a server too, as my end goal is to put it to use on my minecraft server.

you need to change the noise settings to change the sea level. This link tells you how to write a noise settings file: https://minecraft.fandom.com/wiki/Custom_world_generation#Noise_settings
Unfortunately it's very hard because there is no default file that I'm aware of, and nobody really knows what they're doing now that 1.18 is out.

Yeah i think not having access to the default options makes it too difficult. I even downloaded the default data pack from minecraft themselves, and that one is saying its for an older version of minecraft. And just changing the "sea_level" line in overworld's noise settings doesn't do a thing. at least i can get the height limits to shift, even though the caves currently cut through Bedrock.
I actually found the default options!

Perfect! Even if i cant figure it out, thank you for finding this for me.
in 1.18, the minimum y value is -64
I know that. I’m asking how you would change that.

…that’s… not changing it at all. Please don’t comment if you aren’t going to add anything of value. Its a waste of everyone's time.
ok sorry
