Minecraft launcher won't connect to internet
Hey! So I have a problem with the Minecraft launcher! It won't connect to the Internet even though I'm using the Internet. I've already allowed it through the firewall. It's not cracked or anything and used to work perfectly fine!

If using Windows, try right-clicking on the launcher icon and choose 'run as administrator'
Already tried that. Still no Internet connection for the launcher
If you are willing to try a different launcher, you could try out MultiMC, which you can download from here : https://multimc.org/
Easy to set up. Install it, open it, right-click on the window, choose create instance, choose your MC version, click ok, add a minecraft account via the settings / accounts and away you go - usually takes a minute or two at most. Excellent for modded as well as Vanilla.

MultiMC doesn't work either.
Now you have 2 launchers that don't work. The only commonality between them is Java, so something is blocking java from getting to the internet.
So, why not try updating your java version from here : https://www.java.com/en/download/
....... and you can see if you get a popup window asking you to allow java access to the internet during the install. If not, then maybe its your Virus checker.

have you used any sort of alt account service?
I've deleted it fully though.
you will need to do more than just delete it since it does more than just run an application, it changes how many things work with your network connections
Like what?
Only once, but it never messed with the launcher or the Internet.
