Okay, so ill just get to the point, no waffling. Ive downloaded a mod for 1.7.2 (the zelda sword skills mod, if thats important.). It took me while to discover that to get mods I need forge, so I downloaded the forge for 1.7.2 and changed my minecraft profile to forge ect. Then when I moved the mod file into the mods folder it just crahsed.
And so I did some more googling, and people said about deleting the (meta inf I think it was called?) so I deleted it. The mod still doesnt work, I don't know if shoving all the mod files in one folder or what has caused all this, or if im missing something completely. Please help! thanks.

I dont remember there being a .zip folder. I will have another look though. Oh and heres the crash report, I never thought it was important.

Ok, here are 3 suggestions:
1. Make sure the mod is for 1.7.2, if not, download the Forge that is compatible with that version of MC
2. Some mods require you to put the .zip folder in the 'mods' folder. So try putting the .zip in the 'mods' folder instead of the folder.
3. Read the description of the the zelda sword skills mod and find the 'installation' section if it has one!
If these above do not work, please send me the crash report.

We'd need the crash log to help very much at all.
