I really need help.

I log into Minecraft today and see that my world that I worked so hard on is gone! Look at my latest build on my profile to see what it was.
I worked so hard on it for 2 straight weeks for hours each day and for no reason it disappeared! I looked in my files and found that the world file is still there, in my saves folder. But I cannot get it to showup in my world section.
Surly there is something I can do with that? I think one of the folders may have gotten corrupted, can someone please help me out with how to fix it? I can provide all of the details you ask. No blackout/crash/bluescreen happened, it was just..... gone.

Change the title to something describing your problem.. not many people will care enough to click on it if they don't know what it's about
If the world is still showing in your saves folder, try dragging it out to your desktop (basically remove it from Minecraft), launch game then exit, then reinstall the world and try again.
