Shaders for Beginners

Hello,
I've never previously used Shaders. However, I was wondering if there is an 'Original Sharders' or Generic/ Standard type. I know that there are quite a few versions out there, each with different authors and a list of pros, cons and features.
So I am looking for one that is pretty standard, has the features you would want and is relatively straight forward in setup and in practice, that potentially anyone could use.

Pretty much any shaders work like plug-and-play these days if you've got Optifine.
It's up to you what kind of shaders/performance you want.
I would recommend something from the MrMeepz shaderpacks since those are relatively lightweight for your game.
