I just got the Survival Games plugin, and It hasn't been liking me that much.
1: Players can't use the /sg join # command, unless there op (Even when I add the perms and also when I didn't use a perms system.
2: When OP's play the HungerGames, they can move right when they join.
3: When OP's play the HungerGames, the HungerGames chests don't refill, I already selected the arena correctly, and I setup the arena perfectly.
My Server has 256 RAM

I had 5 people online when I tried to Player SurvivalGames
Because

actually I am not using perms for the HG map I am only using it for groups having access to some of my plugins. It seemed to have some default ones built in. Even me as OP cannot break the blocks. Any clue as to how this is possible?

Mind posting the permissions.yml before and after trying to add the perm nodes?

I just setup a portal using multiverse core and portal for everyone to use to beam them over to the HG arena lobby. They then click the sign to join and I have it autostart. Works pretty good.
