i.e, without using a link to a site? just choosing a photo from your own computer, not from an external online source.
like, onto this forum post. there are a lot of buttons and options at the top of the text screen but the only similar option I see is using a link to insert.

No, you're gonna have to use a link for here, which means you've got to place your images onto imgur and then paste in the image/link from there.
