I've been seeing a few redshade contest but would like to know what a redshade contest is so I can make a successful skin. :D

A reshade contest is a lazy way of making people remake your skin.

A reshade contest is a contest where you simply reshade an unshaded plain skin. You need basic shading skills to compete. ^w^
Example of unshaded skin, which doesn't cost much effort, and is pretty boring, it doesn't catch people's eyes:
Sure the hair is shaded, but it's not an eye catching technic, used mostly by beginners. :3
Example of the same skin but shaded, shading takes more time, sure, but it looks a whole lot better:
There are many guides to learn how to shade skins, I recommend you read this one, and then this one. :3
