Any datapack ideas?
Don't recommend datapacks with texture packs, things that detect breaking, placing, crafting, etc. and be resonable.

Hey you should make a SCP datapack. like SCP 096. so here's how it will work.if you go near him while he is sitting down he will switch to a different pose aka put hands on face and play a sound for 30 second and yeah you get it. then he chases you also he breaks any block to get to you. so yeah. does that sound good or no. I mean you dont need poses. you can just let him stand still if you go near em then chase you

Sorry but this project is closed. Sorry.

a block, lets call it *a*, that produces more blocks of *a* and then those blocks of *a* produce more blocks of *a* that produce more blocks of *a* that produce more blocks of *a* that produce more blocks of *a* that... you know what I am talking about ;)
1
Sorry this is old and I have already made these things, srry.
2
youch
2
Idk I have a lot of ideas

Or the chunk below you blows up every time you jump?
2
Or every time you jump, the game spawns a random mob!
1
Random factors are really hard to do. Maybe a set mob?
2
Item drops are 64x maybe? I like that idea :D

EDIT: I will be updating the datapack each version or snapshot that comes out with new things so that it is compatible with everything and is not lost until now, I already have more than 200 recipes, I still have many more.

Google translate is on drugs today but I think I understand. God armor is what I got.
2
agreed.
2
i dont think you can make a datapack that prevents world corruption. if its happening often, you might wanna find the problem yourself
(google translate so might be bad):
No creo que puedas hacer un paquete de datos que evite la corrupción mundial. si sucede con frecuencia, es posible que desee encontrar el problema usted mismo

I do not mean to avoid the corruption of the world with a datapack of functions I mean to do functions for the reason that many corrupt their worlds and that is to get the armor of God

Every 5 minutes, 3 random blocks in your inventory (blocks only, no items) become "electrified".
Placing an electrified block smites you with 17 lighting strikes.
You don't know which blocks are electrified, so be careful!

It's kind of breaking rule no. 2, but I made it kind of work

Rain particles fall at an angle as if there were wind. Bonus points if the angle can be customized.
3
That Is a Superb Idea, but minecraft wouldn't let me detect if its raining or not. Definitely would make it if I could.

You can detect rain using predicates. Create one as follows:
{
"condition": "weather_check",
"raining": true
}
You can use thundering instead of raining if you want that weather (or thundering false and raining false if you want clear).
As to rain falling sideways, I have only seen that done with mods, and not datapacks.... my sandstorm pack would love you if you can make my particles fall at an angle ^_^

I'm not that experienced, sorry. You are definitely a better datapack maker than me.

Hey.. The best way to learn is to just play and see what CAN be done. And don't tell yourself something can't be done even if others tell you so until you TRY. Also... these forums (and reddit, stackoverflow, etc) are great for asking questions. Usually if you want to try and do something, someone else has already tried. And if it can be done easily, someone has an example!
As to this one... the rain detection is easy... but if you DO find a way to make rain (or falling sand particles is what I am interested in) fall sideways, please send me a note! As I said, I think it to not be possible with the tools we have since I played with it and couldn't get it, but that does not mean someone will figure out some silly shenanigans to make it happen...

I did look it up but nothing was working.

How do you exept anyone to give you ideas when you have rules like that
you might aswell say
"Don't recommend datapacks that require commands "

1
No, if I said "Don't recommend datapacks that require commands" Nobody would comment. See the difference?
2
Im talking about the rules not the comments
1
I know.
2
beacons go on until they hit a block
1
They do that already
2
dont.. dont they do that in the normal game?
1
no they don't
1
mm i see what you mean now
2
Its like the mulitplying egg
2
The tnt will multiply once its ignited it will do the thing again and again and so on.
2
so like, an auto game crasher?
3
your able to eat blocks and you get fat but when your fat enough you can eat mobs and the sound would be drinking honey ;)
3
Sorry, but I can't make that cuz of rule 2.
3
oke
2

Minecraft but during day all Monsters are friendly and all Animals are aggressive.
During Night all Monsters are aggressive again and the Animals are friendly.

2
its would be great though.. but you cant make friendly mobs hostile through vanilla datapacks
2
Sorry I can't make that.
2
Couldn't you repeatedly teleport the Animals to invisible baby zombies?
1
You can give another Idea though
1
No, minecraft doesn't let entities get teleported to other entities, but you can teleport entities to players.
3
What version of MC are you using. I use the java version and I know you can tp one mob or entity to another as I use that in a few of my packs.
1
I use java as well but I would have to name all mobs which is breaking rule 2 anyway.
