I don't think anyone even looked at my "Use the /sethome command" post.........

It appears that Essentials Spawn was causing the problem.

I did so. The bukkit build I'm using is bukkit build 1650. Single Player, the bed thing is cool. No worries, my computer at work is a piece of junk. But multiplayer, same deal applies. All the users have to use /sethome ( Which I don't like using) I updated all plugins and everything. I'm going to takeout all plugins again to see if it's bukkit. (Now that I'm home)

What build of Bukkit?

Is it cracked?


Save your whole .minecraft folder somewhere else.
Delete .minecraft folder.
Login.

If your server lets you use the /sethome command....then just type /sethome
You can use that command anywhere on the server if it has it.

I did all that already, 2ice. I even did a complete backup and loaded it with the 1.8 build from BUkkit. It didn't fix a thing, and like I said a min ago, it's happening on everyone's single player also. ( Everyone I play with they play single player with no mods.) THe bed messages say everything but

"This bed is now set to your home"
EDIT: I just died, and I respawned where my bed used to be over 2k blocks away, AFTER I slept in my new bed, at night.

On my single player, I waited 3 day/night cycles and same ordeal.

I do force update minecraft. I just had my wife (Lunaqua) login single player and our server and she's getting the same issue.

It must be a server issue.

Do it on a brand new fresh world and check.

If it still does it then download a new bukkit server jar ( the recommended build) and make a whole new server, then test with a fresh newly generated world.

Make sure you are using a force-updated minecraft and not a pre-release or something.

This only started about 3ish weeks ago, with all my server m8's and non server m8's. A lot of people I know have this problem :\

It used to on Multiplayer, and it doesnt set it ( I had my other server m8's verified this.) They slept in their bed, went and died, and wouldn't spawn where they slept in their bed at. ( He traveled 15k blocks... he wasn't too happy.)

I know you can't put anything around your bed. >_<

I'm pretty sure it doesn't give you the 'bed is now your home' message on a server. Its SP only.

It still works though, just test it out.

Yeah, I even put the bed in a 10 by 10 by 10 room. Still, can't set the home. Can sleep in it and everything fine, but iut wont " This bed is now set to your home." I redone the server, reset it, took away all plugins, and still the same problem. On my work comp, no plugins or anything and in single player, same problem. :\

Works fine for me. You are doing it at night, and getting in the bed at least briefly?

Also the bed cant be obstructed above it.

Everyone that plays on my MC server has the issue. I did a fresh download and all on my work computer, and I'm having the same issue on single player.

It will set your home?

You need to get your whole screen dim in a MP server, and sleep whole in a SP server till morning.
in MP though, just sleep like 10-15 seconds and you should be fine
