Open up Minecraft launcher and click these 3 lines white icon on top right, then go to launch options tab and create new profile(you can name it whatever You want). Now just chose forge version (it should be the last version on the list).

Edit one of your files and change the version, forge should be there if the installation worked correctly.

So I did everything and the right Forge version shows up in my "Versions" file under appdata but when I open the launcher, Forge isn't one of the options displayed. It shows everything else, liteloader, 1.10, etc., but not Forge.

Go here http://files.minecraftforge.net and chose version what you want.
Then download installer. Everything You have to do now is open this jar file with java, then let the installer instal forge. After sucessfully instaled forge(it will have it's own profile in the launcher). Download the mod you want and put it's jar file in .minecraft/mods folder(you can create mods folder if not exist; to acess to .minecraft folder use Win+R combination and type %appdata%; I'm also recommend searching for mods on curse forge and minecraft forum, not pages like 9minecraft). Thats all, installing mods for actual versions of minecraft is very easy Hope i helped.

To find forge just go to the website by searching forge and download the version you want!

Then go to where you downloaded it and open it and run!

You'll need java to open it.
