Hello - I made this hub after a medium-sized discussion about Creepypastas (more or less - Jeff the Killer and The Rake) on a thread which contained a screamer link, and so I decided to make a Creepypasta Hub. If you are unaware of what a'Creepypasta' is, read below.

A Creepypasta is a short story that is posted on the internet that is designed to unnerve and shock the reader. This wiki is primarily a database of various creepypasta. The goal is to have a fairly well stocked library of creepypasta, including very obscure and rarely posted, to original content. First time readers of creepypasta should check out the Suggested Reading.

I just read 1dollar.wav. I heard it was as scary as hell, but It wasn't scary at all to me...

It actually was a great creepypasta. Even though, I'm not going to DARE listen to the audio on the creepypasta page. You can never trust things, especially videos and music, because you never know what's coming.

Ben Drowned was nice and in-depth.
It's great when they can pull you in with linguistic techniques, etc.

In my honest opinion, I like the stories when they make up past events (or stories) such as, for an example, a diary entry from a soldier in World War II, describing the creature / thing the Creepypasta is based on. It just adds that other layer of realism, and adding onto having made-up events / stories from the past, its better when they don't say that it's fake.

Like you said, it's all about being believable. Also I think because Jadusable (the author) actually went to the trouble of hacking a Majora's Mask ROM to aid his story, that shows real dedication. It's stuff like that you can appreciate.
And then you get the cheap copies of REAL Creepypastas and it's disappointing. Although, originality in writing is difficult.

I did too, infact, I'm still working on it. But I 'voided my bowls' (so to speak) whilst writing it (ie, scared myself xD) so I don't want to release it haha

I actually tried to write my own Creepypasta once. Not only was it incredibly unoriginal, but I managed to scare myself. xD

Sure have. I read it and was kind of just numb for a full 5 minutes. I scare easily, so it pretty much did the job. xD
