Critical Resource Pack Importing Bugs and I need anyone who can test thiswarning
Recently I have been experiencing an issue where resource packs in zip file do not work with 1.18.2. As a result I have posted a bug report for this strange oddity on the bug tracker. The link is provided here: https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-249969. The annoying nature of the bug has been driving me in a bad way so I hope this gets fixed soon. After it gets patched or I have to deal with it myself, I can post my packs on CurseForge and officially make the move. This issue has been big so if this is the thread you see on the sidebar, please make sure to test this yourself. For you Windows users, please try this.
I hope this gets fixed soon.

thank you for the info as I thought that you needed the pack folder first. to contain all of the assets. 1.18.2 is a weird version so that is why I blamed it for this.

The resourcepack you included worked for me BUT it was packed wrong, I had to extract the folder inside of it and put in resourcepacks folder for game to see it. Always pack the content of resourcepack (assets, pack.mcmeta, pack.png), not the whole folder.
Game only recongnizes the packs in the following structure:
resourcepack in folder/zip form
|
assets
pack.mcmeta
pack.png
The structure that caused the game to not show your pack in game:
resourcepack.zip
|
resourcepack <-- result of packing whole folder instead of it's content
|
assets
pack.mcmeta <-- Pack only those
pack.png
The bug report will most likely be closed as "works as intended".
