I used to run a Gmod TTT server (and a few MC ones that weren't as successful) And I didn't let BS slide. Like you call someone a F*g, I'd ban you. Stuff like that. And alot of ppl just hated the fact I'm a girl, so that didn't help. I had NFOservers (nuclear fallout servers) and they were the best at deflecting that sh*t. ONE time tho the attack was so big they had to null-route it, so the server was offline for 8 hours to keep it safe. Fun times man, fun times

1,250 some odd hours later, you couldn't GET me back on gmod. Too cancerous

Someone tried to DDoS my company and bring down all the servers, the only thing it brought down was my server xD

Just a warning to those posting in this thread, if you made the (somewhat immature) choice to retaliate after a DDoS attack, do not mention in it in your post. Condoning illegal activities such as DDoS attacks is not at all acceptable on this site.

I had an attempted DDoS on one just 1 (keeping it related to mc servers only and not others), after a competitor failed to steal our players and failed to take down my server.

As a result he hired some kid from hacking forums to DDoS me, but sadly he failed and only made my internet connection a bit slower that day.

And now, his server is dead and not longer running and mine is still up

Someone tried it on me once. I read them their home address and they stopped.

Be careful who you threaten skids. A clued in server admin can easily find out who you are, and some of them can be rather nasty. If someone annoys you just walk away from it, don't delude yourselves into thinking you need revenge.

I don't know if someone already posted this but Wynncraft, a Minecraft server, got attacked with DDoS . When this happened the server rested closed, but they could manage it and with 2 days of panic everything became normal again

Never been DoS'd or DDoS'd, except for like once in a game of Annihilation because I was trolling this dude who said he was in a "Minecraft clan" and pretended it was as prestigious as if he were in a high ranking CS:GO group. Him and his friend said "bye" then I was hit offline for less than a minute. Which is funny, because that probably means he was using like a $5 booter.
However, I have bluffed my way out of me and my friend being DoS'd before. This kid got butthurt because my friend said something that could have possibly been taken as an insult to this kid's lady crush then went on some rage fest threatening to hit him offline and got his IP through a Skype IP retriever thing. I proceeded to school him and pretend like DoS attacks were super illegal (they are illegal, but most of the time small attacks aren't taken seriously) and said that I could trace his IP and report him to the local police. Total bluff, but the kid literally feared me and pretended like all that never happened after all that passed. It was quite funny.

Honestly though DoS attacks aren't anything big. They're only significant to people who run servers or stuff like that. But other than that, it's nothing. You're just offline for like a couple of minutes then it's over, big deal. People who think it adds some eStreet rep to them have some convoluted sense of how things work. Bragging about or threatening to DoS just makes you look like a child.

Iv been ddosed say...., twice?
One time was this nice little bored lad wanted Op on my server. he got my skype and decided to hit me for about 3 days. Well news for him i had his origional IP and sent a nice little police team to his door c:
Second time was i joined an MC server and got accused of hacking. so the owner ddosed me >.>

One server I went one once left the Essentials /seen command available to everyone, which lets you get anyone's IP address.

This moderator on there didn't like the fact that I'd dug a big vertical hole (was planning to build underground), so started a DDoS on me. It was about 3am my time so I was about to go to bed anyway, but noted his IP and submitted a report to his ISP and the admin of the server, then went to bed.

Next day the admin said he wasn't going to ban him because he's "a good moderator" (?), but apparently he never re-appeared on that server anyway. I didn't really stay long either though, admin proved himself incapable with that.

Server I was on got ddosed. Made the game unplayable.

People have attempted to ddos my servers but have failed every time.

the guy who ddosed me didnt had a heart he even Did it 2 times!

I never knew he got staff that was breaking my server all along when One betrayer helped us But when he helped us destroy them they backstabbed us. andmostly ddosed me again. one of my backstabber staff must be /seen me so they can know my ip.

I feel for you bro iv been ddosed 100s of times and it sucks... (Competitive Call of Duty). Iv know people who have ddosed each other for fun... I don't understand why ppl do this but its gotten to the point of 9 year olds ddosing... Thats scary!
