Different minecraft noises?

a couple days ago i downloaded the 1.9.6 pre release and made a new world to fight the boss. after i was done i put it back to 1.8.1 because i did not want to spoil everything, but anyway today i go onto minecraft and all of the noises are different, like chest opening/closing, door opening/closing, trapdoor opening/closing, creeper explosions , and an arrow being fired by a bow. the noises sound stupid, has this happened with anyone else??

I like all the new noises except the bow noise.

the doors are squeeky and so are chests now :/ i dont like it everything else is pretty chill though

ya most of the sounds are ok but chests and doors do sound like slimes lol

it was a 'secret update' thats what i call it
the noises are realistic, except doors and chests annoy me a little (they sound like slimes)
i like the tnt noises the most! the snowball and arrows, well i dont care about them but they are cool
