Yeah. Although, change is good, I just don't think going in this direction is good. Maybe adding some mobs, or something. Even some animals.

for one granite and the other two new rocks are just that "rocks/stone" making armor and stuff out of them is pointless and tools i doubt because they already have stone tools and also redstone armor makes even less sense then emerald because redstone is like the wire and electricity of the world im sorry but redstone armor makes even less sense then emerald would
p.s. if i sound a little "mean" im sorry im not trying to be im just stating my opinion

I agree, a new tier would be pretty cool, just some new item. Something besides Emeralds.

why would you make money into armour/tools?
and also I really don't think it would fit into the game there isnt a huge difference between Iron and Diamond so if you added a tier between those 2 then it would be pretty pointless in my opinion

A new tier would be cool, just not emeralds. Then again, it would ruin the concept of Diamonds being the upmost, best thing in Minecraft.

I just think that changing something as major as a huge resource like that, which already has its uses, and already does things that impact the game in a large way, to something totally different would be a big step.

2. I agree, it does kind of make more sense for gold, but since they're already so far into the making of Minecraft, I doubt they will change it now. It's become a symbol, everyone recognizes emeralds as currency, not things you can make tools/armor with.

gold just makes sense cause its valuable in the real world you gotta remember this is minecraft "fake world" things dont have to make sense besides emeralds can be way more then gold and as for minecraft i personally dont think they should have emerald tools and armor just doesnt fit to me im fine with keeping that as mods

Im pretty sure i remember them stating that they will not be adding emerald armor or tools because emeralds are ment to be the currency of minecraft (ex: villager trading) they were never ment for tools and stuff also stated above that they would ruin the concept of diamonds

I highly doubt mojang will add emerald stuff. They've already created a thing with Diamonds. If emeralds were made powerful, then the whole thing would be gone.
For example, PlanetMinecraft has "Diamonds" to show that you like something, if they go making emeralds more powerful, this will ruin the concept of Diamonds. As well as Diamonds are also a very important part of minecraft. Emeralds were added mainly for currency & for a "bonus" gem type thing.

Well emeralds are rare and you usually won't get enough for a helmet so it sounds good, but i'm not really sure.
