Personally I love hybrid servers... where on is meant to survival, yet join groups of people to "make it" in the world.

I don't like factions tho. It's too hard to get into a factions server when the server has been running for a while.

Factions is overused as said in comments above. When I had factions on my server whenever sombody got raided/griefed (Witch is the purpose of factions) They would rage .________.

Do you like the cold-blooded community of the factions or friendly community of survival servers where you work together to make town peacefully?

Anyways, I do like survival servers when you're in close communication with the players. For faction servers, I like it when not everyone is running around in diamond armour with fully enchanted weapons.

Now, my favorite server is that DayZCraft server. If you join that and play it for a little bit, you'll never want to play another server.

I agree, there are some really good factions server out there that get 100+ players. It'll be hard for others to top that

factions is overused and too easy to abuse the system, the server i play uses factions and its just boring after a while. every pvp server uses factions and its annoying

In my opinion, you should listen to the people above. Don't use Factions unless you want a really unoriginal server, although that isn't always a bad thing.

Well, my players seem to like my server with Survival and without Factions, and many of them ask specifically upon joining if there are no factions. When I say no they usually like it. Some don't and leave but I make it clear everywhere I write about my server that there are no factions. .
