That happens when there's lag.
It does seem scary but it may not be true, how would you be able to tell that there are real seeings of a creeper in white sheets, Herobrine, or anybody else scary enough like that, it's a bit impossible to tell though...

But there was no creeper but there was a random bit o netherrack next to a tree lol

this could be the real thing! i can guess that lots of the other ones r fake bcuz they accualy have no proof! but its true i accualy saw the cows ;(

THANK GOD it has not happened to me (gonna go build some golems for protection

Dude on servers when I have slow internet this happenes all the time.
creeper says "dora said creepers no creep"
That doesn't prove anything. It can be your computer having a lag spike, or your CPU really slow, or you were out of memory. That happens, and is normal in Minecraft. Not a ghost island, just a laggy Minecraft.

Am I the only one who notices something is wrong here?
Even in the Far Lands (which requires 1.7 or earlier), you can't go past 32,000,000 and stay on the ground without falling into the void. You are over 1 billion away from spawn. Plus, the lag that comes from going over 32 million away from spawn can easily bring down most computers and servers.
Either you were playing on a super computer or a super computer acting as a multiplayer server.

I think you were having lag...
So, I just spawned a new world. I think it was day three or four days along. I was going from island to island checking out the biomes, and suddenly I see an island in the distance. Like your average noob I crashed into a lilly pad while going real slow (TURBO NOOB!!). After a little swimming I got to the island, it was a swamp biome. I saw a group of cows, so I thought, free armor , and went at one with my stone sword-
But nothing happened! I walkd into it and through it. I checked all the other cows, it was the same! I was scared that maybe mobs would be able to hurt me and I wouldn't be able to hurt them. So I tried to put down some planks- but nothing happened. It sorta appeared and then disappeared and I got it back.
Night came and I was totally scared. I tried to dig a temporary shelter, but the blocks kept coming back. With some maneuvering I was able to get into a tree and I watched them spawn. I came down when I saw that, just like the cows, they did nothing. I saw an imobile creeper and thought, OMG PET CREEPER!!! I dug a pit under him, the blocks were really slow in disappearing. When I finally got lid on him, he vanished, and the hole I had dug filled in! Anyway, please post your creepy happenings-

You could mock my incompetence and tell me in colorful language what was going on, I can live with either.
