I was placing sand, it was falling, there was a bush under it. I was like
aww great now i have to delete the bush. and the sand....
and then
When the sand hit it
BOOM.
Gone.

No i was on survival, on my survival island map.

i think when sand falls onto a torch or sapling they get destroyed, you may've been on creative and got no drops
