So I was on a singleplayer server on my xbox. I was playing on an offline account. I was trying to find a clearing to build my house. I found a clearing and went to go get wood when my Mom called me to dinner. I got off facing the trees. When I got back on, the leaves on the trees were gone. I ignored it thinking that my brother got on to pull a prank on me. I just went on with the game until I was cutting a tree down and I suddenly died. In the chat, it said "Diamondcrafter was killed by Herobrine." That's all I needed to see before I got off the world and deleted it. I have never played offline since.
