Well, i think he is real! he was actually in older versions, but some say that is fake, but i have REAL PROOF! go to your mc launcher, and scroll down the descriptions of older versions. almost EVERY update says -Removed Herobrine
to remove herobrine, he had to be in the game!!!!! and i actually SAW HIM! screenshot! and i didnt have any mods, i was in older version, and it was SP. I SWEAR. HE IS REAL.

Herobrine removed was a joke as well to scare people. It all was a joke and even notch said it was. They will say it soon in the xbox changelog too. Herobrine never existed. Lock this already

Herobrine is not in Minecraft.

There are no references to him at all in the source code, and there is no code to allow for any entity to act like Herobrine. There is no level terrain code to generate redstone torches, 2x2 tunnels or elaborate dungeons with traps.

There is no possible way Herobrine can ever exist in any unmodded clients or servers. Any claims that he is in Minecraft are completely false. Any appearances he may have are caused by mods being installed.

The Minecraft Wiki and Forums do not partake in any viral Herobrine hoax. Any deletion of herobrine-related comments or stories are purely because Herobrine doesn't exist, and the stories are either fictional, with an intent to mislead others, or the result of users playing mods installed on their game without their knowledge.

As Minecraft passed on from Notch to Jeb_, the chance of Herobrine appearing in an update was unclear. On the 22nd of August, Dinnerbone, current joint developer of Minecraft, tweeted:
“ We have no plans at all to add herobrine. I doubt this will ever change. „

This confirms that Herobrine will never see an official release in Minecraft, and that any claims of "finding" Herobrine in vanilla Minecraft in future updates are completely unfounded.

Herobrine was first stated to have been removed in Minecraft Beta v1.6.6. This was a joke, referring to Notch partially removing the Human mob's essential code, making it unspawnable within Minecraft. An ulterior motive was to troll the community, as this was around the time Herobrine had gained mematic status within the community.

Notch talking about how herobrine wasn't real, and how it was supposed to be a joke was all over the Internet. What I don't get is how people, Minecraft fans they are, could have freakin' missed that.

Im just happy hes fake, i got the herobrine mod recently and hes NOT fun to battle unless your decked.

Herobrine was never in the game. The 'Herobrine removed' in 1.6.6+ was just a few jokes Notch did to scare people. He's not real and will never be real.

actually he is real he was in the older versions of minecraft if you red through some of the old update detail i think it was 8 versions ago it said 'herobrine removed' before that you could sommon him with placing certain blocks
