How do you get a full stack of weapons in 1.8 with commands
I'm working on a PvP map, and I'm trying to use commands so I can get a full stack of 64 for swords and bows, but unlike 1.7, when I use the /give command, I get a full stack. In 1.8, I don't get a full stack, it just fills my inventory with the item I need. How do you get a stack of 64 with commands in 1.8? (The faster you answer, the faster my map will get done. Please help )

Swords and bows and other tools are not stackable

But they can be stacked, dont know how to do son in 1.8 but in 1.7 it worked fine.

But when I do it for weapons, I don't get a full stack. I just fill my inventory with the item I need. (try it for an iron sword with an empty inventory)

Ah, I see the issue, sorry about the misread
To force the game to stack items, use the /replaceitem command. It's a bit more complicated, but for players it works like this:
This will put 64 swords in the first inventory slot. The only thing to beware of is that if the player has something else in their first slot when you run this command, it will be removed completely, with no way to get it back.

/replaceitem entity @p slot.hotbar.0 diamond_sword 64 [data] [dataTag]

The /give command's syntax is this:
So if you want to give a player a full stack, just put 64 in the [amount] slot:
/give <player> <item> [amount] [data] [dataTag]
So if you want to give a player a full stack, just put 64 in the [amount] slot:
/give @p stone 64
