Hey guys, I have always wondered how this is done... I just saw this post on PMC and someone has been able to actually translate an image of a DayZ Namalsk map to a REPLICA Minecraft map?! Can someone please tell me how this is done and what software is used?

Yea WorldPainter was probably used. But whoever made it must have taken their time and made it very detailed.

Or you can get a height map of the DayZ map, load it in as a brush, and then use the brush on a map with certain dimensions...

It was probably done with a height map of the world. The user probably looked for an image of the height map and imported it into a mapmaking software (Maybe WorldPainter)
