Not even by modding? I know this is some sort of video effect but i'm sure there must be a way to replicate the results some how.

all those slimes are CGI, getting anywhere near that close would put so much load on the cpu/gpu minecraft would run in single digit framerates since you would need to use shaders in conjunction with a texturepack of a fairly high resolution (512+) for it to look decent
