Invisible Portal Jump
So, I was playing mine craft, I was on a horse, and whenever i jump through the portal, I go right through it. when i walk through it on a horse, I don't go in. when i JUMP on a horse, i go right through, and I don't actually go to the nether.

The purple portal blocks aren't solid; you can even walk through them.
If you're talking about the obsidian, you can occasionally go through blocks at head level while on a horse, but you might start suffocating.

but why do i jump THROUGH it? that's my question.
You can't teleport when you're on a horse.
you have to stay in the portal to go to the nether
