Looking for the "best" Minecraft Alpha version to play on multiplayer

What would you say the best Minecraft Alpha version is to play multiplayer on?

Ideally I'm looking for one where the grass is still vibrant green.

Alpha 1.2.6 is pretty mucht he only choice.
