New Door Modifications (and its problems)

Hello PMC!
It's UndeadShadow, and I recently had an epiphany.
Before, if you crafted a door, you'd get a single door.
In one of the recent snapshots, they changed this. Crafting the door recipe gives you three doors now.
At first I thought that this was pretty good, since it required less resources, but I only recently realized how... strange of a trade-off this was.
It 6 wooden planks equals three doors, then that's 2 planks to make a door.
Jeb_, your telling me that a 4 and a door require the same materials? You're saying that a stick, something that you need two of to make tools, can make a door?
What are your thoughts on this? Any other weird crafting quirks you know of?

Think about it, there are already TONS of crafting recipes like this that aren't right in minecraft. Also, two wooden planks makes four sticks, not one.

I think changing the recipe of the door was unnecessary. Stacking them is good, but there was no need to get 3 doors out of 6 planks. I mean if you need a door, you usually need just one or two of them for a house, the rest is just gonna take some space in the chests.

That means that it takes 2 sticks for a sign.
But when you think about it, pickaxes and axes both take 3 of an ore to make, same with swords and hoes, taking 2 of an ore.
It all really just depends on the way you look at it, I guess.

Excellent point but just be happy that you waste less resources
