New Minecraft launcher always online???

If you havent heard already, there is some speculation going around about Mojang's new Minecraft Launcher .
apparently (and dont hold me to this) people are saying that it is likely that the new launcher must remain online inorder to play, this means that no "play offline" feature, and could potentially cause problems for a few customers.
anyways i was just wondering how you guys felt about this, is this going to be a problem for you? or is it something that you could care less about?

I feel the same way! I love playing Minecraft on vacation, and it's makes time fly by when you don't have internet access, though I find it much better online!

First of all, are you guys stupid, if you read once in a while about minecraft in ALL websites it says:Jeb says "The offline mode will be added in the new launcher, [it's just the launcher is still in heavy dev]"

Even if the launcher is like that, there are many custom launchers that you could download and still use offline mode on.

absolutely if it does turn out like this, im going to be dissapointed,
think of those who travel with say a laptop.
these people are going to get screwed over because of this new requirement.

It will be a problem cause I know they are maybe trying to do the same thing Sim City did to get rid of the hacks and make everyone pay to play. But when my Wifi goes out or I am on a long trip and I wanna play I have to play offline. If there isn't, there is no minecraft then ;(
