will this altar my game at all? or is it a seperate launcher that will not touch my files
You open the launcher and download the jar file of any version of Minecraft that you want. It places the jar file say ALPHA 1.2.1 JAR FILE IN YOUR BIN. It wont replace your Beta 1.7.3 jar file it will just add it

I've seen there posts so I did this to help them and I'll play Alpha every once in a while because I think its fun. I am not forcing you to play it and besides if you don't like it than why are you here then?
