The first one was a creepypasta, created to draw attention to minecraft. Did you know, his eyes were originally black, until the live stream where we saw the retextured stuff.
1
well if it was a retextured door how did the first herobrine come about?
1
well im still not sure

I personally think - no - KNOW he's not real because he can be lumped with every other "scary" video game ghost.
Ever heard of the Tails Doll?
How about Ben? He Drowned, you know.
What about Pokemon Lost Silver and Creepy Black versions?
All bogus.
It's called creepypasta.
But Lavender Town Syndrome is definitely real, because I died from it.

well if hes not real whay are thre so many videos of him from before the herobrine mod?

that's because they either use textures, or they are on a multiplayer server

Just because its on the Wiki doesn't mean its real.If you read the whole page, Members of Mojang including Notch says he's not real in like Reddit posts or something, somewhere at the top it says something like "However, Herobrine has never appeared in Minecraft itself." inside a red box.
Anti-proof is on the wiki:
http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Herobrine
The videos before the mod came out are most likely re-textured iron doors or just edited pictures, or the video edited itself, or a player using a Herobrine skin.If there was a "Herobrine" nametag, it was probably a plug-in, if bukkit was out then.
He was just a made-up CreepyPasta, the people who created it admitted he wasn't real. Are CreepyPastas ever even true anyways?
Also, the mod was made before 1.2.5, and I've used it before in 1.7.3 and it could've been created before that.
I also played since Beta 1.5, I bet I would've seen him by then.....
Quote from Notch:
"The Herobrine stuff is awesome and kind of scary at the same time. It really shows how little control a content producer has over the content.
I've publicly told people there's never been any such thing as Herobrine, and that I don't have any dead brothers, and that letting too many animals die in lava is a fool proof way to summon him but that you don't need to be afraid of him. He only means well, he's looking out for you, trying to warn you of the dangers you can't see. There certainly are NO physical manifestations of Herobrine that will sneak out of your computer if you leave Minecraft running at night, looming over you as you sleep with his pale eyes inches away from your face, as he tries to shout at you to wake up. Sometimes you wake up with a jolt, and he's gone, and all that lingers is the memory and faint echo of his wordless screaming. Of course it was just a dream. There's no way a morally dubious ghost with a god complex could at any point decide to haunt the children who play my game "for their own good", as there is NO SUCH THING. etc etc"
Also, freaky music on a video could've been added by the person, or just ambience noises -_-

some more proof for herobrine:
herobrine has a mc wiki page, and wiki only post things that are real in minecraft.
1.3.2 doesnt have the removed herobrine so he is probably in it.

1
1.just because there is a mc wiki page on herobrine does not mean he is real
2.the removed heobrine was refering to the removal of the human mob, and now jeb is trolling the update logs

ok so its even so far

Proof against herobrine:
There is no herobrine hidden in the code
There is no PNG file for him
People can use a retextured mob or door or use a mod and make it look like they saw herobrine
Notch has claimed his non-existence
