Why exactly do you need a gaming laptop?
Why not just save 100's of dollars, and buy an SSD?
Why not save 100's of dollars, and build/buy a desktop that'd be faster than any laptop you can buy, while being cheaper?

Or you can just build your own desktop from scratch. I find desktops to be a lot less costly in the long run; unless your aiming for a laptop.

Bro. You don't need a GTX 980 to play minecraft and gmod. 1. Server is basically only CPU. 2. I can play minecraft without lag, and my computer is terrible. 3. Gmod isn't that GPU intensive. Oh, and good luck without an optical drive. And what are you going to use that SD card reader for? Either way, if you're so bent on getting a "state-of-the-art gaming pc that can play like GTA V", get the cheaper of these *And add a disk drive, will you?*
Exactly, gmod an mc are the main games im playing, im gonna be doing 60fps recording with hd quality, i will be saving up for gta v after the gaming pc, so yea!

Its not a GTX 980, its a GTX 980M. Server is mostly internet, CPU, and ram, and who still uses optical drives? nobody.

Ill get straight to point cuz evryone else wont. first one is better for you

We're trying to get OP what is best for him.

Alright, the first one. It has a far better GPU. And for the record, if you are hosting a server, keep in mind that RAM isn't the most important aspect. 8gb is well enough. Also none of these are 32bit.
Also, why do you need that expensive of a PC if you are just going to be playing GMod and Minecraft? They are extremely light games that could be played on a much cheaper laptop.
Also, I don't see why you just denied getting an SSD, if your current plays it fine and just loads slow you don't just get a new computer, jeeze, this isn't apple tech support...

How much ram do you plan to allocate to your server?

1. you should of said, (How much dedotated wam do you have to the zerver) as a joke
2. I use windows 32bit java so that means a bit over a gb

That's a lot of money to put down for GMod and Minecraft..

My Horrible computer can already handle gmod and mc, just.. loads slow

atleast its not the laptop i get to use at school lol it gets less fps then using max settings on my windows 8.1 acer craptop (the nickname for bad laptops and theres crapbooks for chrome books which i have to have randomized weird named bookmarks on... no way to remove it...) while on... mineplex or hypixel which i think they have some sort of pc scan hack and thats why it makes my laptop take longer changing the pack to a thing that if not using it i get kicked from it on both id rather play a real life or death hunger games then that (not really im just too lazy to press backspace because im wishing that gta5 for xbox 360 could be modded so i could fly in the mili...

You can't hack PCs with a minecraft server...
Anyway, OP, you don't need those for GMOD and Minecraft. If they load slow, get an SSD and save money. What're your current specs?

do you use mods with Minecraft? That contributes to startup time for MC.
