Strange Coordinates... Herobrine? Or Glitch?

Once, when I was in survival, there was this patch of grass, 5x5 to be exact, and it was just a dark square. When I placed sand or gravel, they didn't fall... When I placed light, it either broke or burnt out. I will not say the cooridnates, because I do not know if this has happened to anyone but me. It has happened on all of the worlds Ive had, even on servers, but I am the only one that sees it. Herobrine sighting? Or Glitch?

I believe you, but I think its glitch, exactly, chunk glitch, only strange that 5x5, not 16x16...
