Hey. How are the headline projects, texture packs, skins etc selected. Is it an algorithim or does someone choose? I was just wondering because it seems rather arbitrary and well the same popular people always end up on there. Kind of a drag for the newbies. Anyhows, will someone give me some info? Thanks

They are chosen according to their popularity based on downloads, comments, diamonds etc. It is automatic I think.
