Here is a big clue i found.
at the end of the disk, there are 3 "radio beeps".
the disk's name is 11
there are 37 block breaks in the "attack".
remove a 1 in the 11
merge the numbers together and you get 1337 or leet
11-18-11 is the day of the final release (take out the 18)
37/3 is 12. try adding "20" to the number(mabey a hint of revealing the record in 2012?)

Minecraft has had a kind of faded story in the update. This is most likely just a cd revealing the story of the end.

well how exactly did you get the 2001? how did you calculate that to get 2001? when there is nothing in the disc or the game that even resembles 2001. if i were you listen to the disc closely or take the file and look at it closely on audacity or somthing like that. now that WOULD give some clues. (serving suggestion)

Well, Minecraft could of been thought of in 2001, Or perhaps even mojang, Maybe in 2012 mojang might stop making games OR minecraft will stop development, I don't really know.

Lol i was toying with my Toomany items and i was listening to ALLL of the discs, when it came to 11 it was oitch at night on a hill - i shat myself and deleted the world XD

Herobrine was removed and added 11 times, it's the 11th disc, Enderman was the 11th mob, and the disc is titled 11. Coincidence? I think not.

Notch jokingly added "herobrine removed" as a joke between him and his crew. People should really research information before posting.

When c314 made disk 11, they comented it was related to the herobrine, according the Minecraft Wiki. They cannot reviel what the music disk is, but it is most likly about the herobrine, often refred to as the dead minner. There has never been an actual herbrine, but it was a very popular subject at one point in time.
Notch has toyed with his fans about adding the herobrine, he was joking though. Notch and his crew have a trolling style to their humor, but we all love them just the same.

I think its Steve / An Explorer running away from an Enderman in a deep mine. The reason why its on a disk I think is because Steve or whoever was recording his / her journal on the record. Or it was Herobrine, meaning that Herobrine is still in the full version of the game. The reason why it was added in 1.9.2 is because in 1.8 endermen were added and they needed a twist. But the disk was only added in 1.9.2 which was when endermen finally started to work properly. The Miner / whatever could have heard those footsteps at the end and decided to record it for evidence that there was a Herobrine or a Endermen in the mine with them and that they really existed. That is my idea of what disk 11 is about. But it really is only just a game. And Im 12 years old.

well my theory is that THE Ender Men are The 11th mob and maybe those are some of its noises creeping up kill its prey

Ehm... I'll say this once, and once only: Herobrine is a MOD, not part of the code, he never was a part of Minecraft, "Notch" said he removed Herobrine because that's what everyone called the Human mob, he thought it would be better if you were the only Steve in the game.

Well, i saw on the Mc wiki about The Old monster (Human) spawn thing that was removed.

Herobrine is ridiculous. You do realize Herobrine was never in the game to start with, right? Herobrine was created by people who were extremely desperate for attention and thought that making up this lie was the only way to get it.
I agree with sed11. the 2012 theory is crap. God is the only one that knows when the world will end, and He doesn't want us to predict it. By predicting it we try and make ourselves like Him. I guarantee God will end the world at a time that is not predicted and never will be.

The world will end when the sun dies. There. Proven scientific explanation of how it will end. If there was a god why would he/she just decide to murder us all?

Because He has plans for a new heaven and a new earth for those that believe, one without sin. God has control of the sun. He can make it live as long as He wants it to. In my opinion, the world is going to end before the sun dies, but I can never know when the world will end until it does.

I don't really believe in Herobrine or all that stuff, but I absolutely LOVE the lore and hype of it...this thread inspired a story I just made up

disk 11 is all the new 1.0.0 sounds added together. the "hero..." bit you talk about is a sound from an enderman.

Dude disc 11 actually summons herobrine just find redstone ore already LIT with noone lighting it and then put a jukebox next to it and place the disc 11 in and put a redstone torch on top of jukebox by holding shift

I think the whole purpose of the disk is to cause hype just like this thread. Really, it could be anything. But the fun of Minecraft was always being able to interpret it in your own way, and it's kind of a cool idea to have a creepy secret thing like this in the game.
