Using youtube for servers

Hey guys!
For any staff reading this im not posting any channels or videos so dont worry and i dont think im breaking any other rules by talking about youtube , if i am my bad
So i wanted to ask what people think of servers using youtube as a way to advertise there server, by this i mean they do lets plays just on there servers, promotional videos, trailers etc.
Does anyone have any love/hate for these videos/channels?
Do you think they work?

Personally i think that as long as the channel isnt spamming and shoving the server down your throat with every video then its a good way to let people know about the server and what its like.

I made a server trailer aswell for my own server, it did help a bit, but afterall not that much. I could use some help though.
