My laptop its 60 on a bad day.......

i get about 68 fps on my game sometimes when my servers running in the background its about 45

The FPS also relies on what you have set your performance setting to. Certain settings on the performance option within the video setting menu limit your framerate so that you cannot see massive FPS. Check that as well.

Rubbish would be around 10.
Not that good would be around 30.
Normal would be around 70.
Good would be around 100.
Perfect would be around 200+.

I put fraps on to see how much FPS... I have an old computer... it rarely went over 10 XD

I am running around 160+ FPS and all my settings are set to max. (That includes a high resolution texture pack and the shaders mod to make water look realistic.) I will list my specs below. I mean, if you can't run MineCraft at 30+ FPS, then you need a new computer. Humans can only see around 30 FPS, which is the average and norm for what you should aim for.

Windows 7 32Bit (Will soon be 64bit in the next week)
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.6Ghz
Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT (1GB GDDR2)
4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz RAM

I have an almost 1 - year old Windows 7 desktop with 3.2 GHZ and in 1.8 and above I get 20 - 50 FPS but in 1.7 and earlier I would of got 60 - 110 FPS. With the GLSL shaders mod in 1.7 I would have 3 - 8 FPS

I just found my High Prestations button on my computer, running it now on 100FPS. But your fps depends on your laptop/computer.

lol i get around 100-120XD

I get around 300-500 with 3 gigs. I always use 3 gigs.

i use gamebooster and with a 512 MB of ram i get like 60-70 fps on smp

if you are having lags i recommend using something link game booster3 and optifine

Also disalbe start up programs they will slow computer down

running 50 fps on mountains with fast graphics and tiny render and everything off
Also, today i got optifine and now i can run 60-70 fps D

my render distance is on short graphics are on fast... everything else is off

I get the same, but It runs without lag :S
Thats why i dont bother with FPS anymore, its not a good thing to rely on...

aim for 60-100 or better
