Next, I would become the lead scientist, and make new weapons, because, considering it a real-life-like, I could design new weapons and train scientists.
Some of my planned weapons would be: Obsidian sword, flame thrower, bigger boat, robot.
And scientifically, once again considering this would be real-life-like, I would use a sample of the portal from the nether portal to create a 'Portal gun', which would be a path way to the nether to a different location with the fire of a weapon.

Of course if it wasn't real-life-like...
