I only remember the new textures, so would prefer new
For me this is mixed due to the fact that my old worlds in MC had used the old textures but then the texture came out and changed the look of most of the blocks but overall I like the new textures a bit more
new one is better, I can now unsee the goofy ahh netherrack texture
Even when the new textures were still new (think about the fact that they were added 5 years ago), I preferred them to the old ones simply because they looked better

Generally the old (althoughthere are a few exceptions e.g. netherrack)
as a builder i feel very restricted with the old textures, as a fair amount of them dont work well with most blocks or are too odd to blend into a gradient. but theyre incredibly nostalgic, so i like them a lot (i just dont prefer them)
i find the old ones so nostalgic, but they do not look that good in builds
Old textures is so nostalgic but newer style is just better quality. I like the new textures to play but the old ones i forever in my heart <3.
I started playing on PS3 where there were old textures, and prefer the old textures to the new.
