I guess some people enjoy different things. For example, some people like games with action and ultra-amazing graphics. However, there's also people like me (and a lot of the Minecraft community) who like a game that is highly customization (texture packs/mods) and has a great community.

One thing I know that get people heads around is things like the caluators and iPhones that people make that work!

People with less creative minds don't really like minecraft.

Some people just don't like open-ended games.

For example, my boyfriend prefers linear, story-based games that always give you a clear objective. He finds himself feeling overwhelmed in games like Minecraft or Terraria because there's so much to do that he can't figure out where to start.

Everyone complains that it has bad physics, but if it had good physics it would suck.

I really only play minecraft because of my server.

My sibling, parents, basically everyone in my family but me hates minecraft. But everyone at school = Super Addicted

If you have a creative mind then your good to go

Depends, doesn't it? If you mean Minecraft being "great" to people in a sense of entertainment and enjoyment. Then its because its a game that offers what they like for example creative people they can make so many things in this game which they get satisfaction from namely: Building, Redstone, Custom Maps, Plugins, Minigames. So on so forth. Whereas, a person who is entertained by FPS shooters or puzzle games will not find it entertaining. It just depends on your interests and what you like really.
