I've been working on a custom map and have some redstoning to do in it. The only problem is if I make a direct inverter ( Lever-block-torch) the torch will burn out after turning it off so many times. If I connect the torch to anything, it will just burn out after the first pull of the lever. I haven't had trouble with this in my redstoning world, however.

What is the problem? A corrupt world?

[EDIT]

I've jsut explored it more, and discovered that if one burns out and I destroy the whole direct inverter and make a new one exactly where that one was, the new on in place of it will not work; just burn out.

This is a bug that has been around for months and still hasn't been fixed.

Try putting redstone wire inbetween, rather than a direct lever-block-torch connection?
